Let’s be honest, the news can be boring, most times it’s just negative things we could do without. Now when it comes to the weather it’s also normally bad news, whether it’s thunderstorms, hail, or snow. And let’s not even mention the inaccuracy it often has.

So to brighten up the bad news and keep us interested there are lots of weather women that put on their charm. Take a look at the best female weather reporters out there.

Ximena Cordoba

Ximena Cordoba is a Columbian actress that’s carved out a place for herself in media including Protagonistas de Novela and after success moved to Miami.

Since then she’s worked for Fox Deportes, Fox Sports, and TNT. Her best feature is the bright smile she always has.

Jackie Guerrido

Jackie Guerrido comes from San Juan, Puerto Rico where she was born. She came to Miami to work for WRMA and decided to move there.

She’s a well-recognized name in the business and has worked for WSCV as a traffic reporter. Most recently she’s been the meteorologist for Primer Impacto and Despeirta America and is the co-anchor on the show now.

Jackie Johnson

Jackie Johnson is the weather forecaster for KCBS-TV news and does the weather at five, six, and eleven PM in Los Angeles.

She also works for KNX1070 CBS as a radio broadcaster and even works weekends in Tallahassee as another weather anchor. Right Now she works for KCBS-TV and has appeared in a few big-budget films as the newscaster.

Araksya Karapetyan

Araksya Karapetyan is an Armenian-American who works for KTTV in Los Angeles on Good Day L.A. She was born on raised in Palos Veres, California, and studied at Syracuse University eventually getting her a broadcast journalism degree.

She got herself an internship with BABC-TV in Burbank, California and this is where her career started. She’s been a reporter and anchor for many networks in Oregon and Idaho and even done some work out of state.

Maria Quiban

Maria Quiban grew up in the Philippines where she was born and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii when she was 9. She studied at the University of Hawaii and after getting her degree in journalism she started working for KHNL.

In 1998 she got a job with Orange County News Channel in Los Angeles and moved there to work with the channel for two years.

Chita Craft

Chita Craft grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and studied at Arizona State University and Mississippi State University. Currently, she works in Houston for KHOU 11 on a program called News This Morning where she’s the weather forecaster.

She gets up to deliver the weather from 4:30 until 9. We can safely bet that she’s a morning person. Before her current position, she worked in California at KRCR until 2011.

Julia Durda

Born in Sacramento, California, Julia Durda has a smile that will melt the coldest of forecasts. She worked for KXTV, KPHO, WSVN, and WPLG after attending Mississippi State University.

She’s been on prestigious programs like Good Morning America and World News. She moved stations from WSVN to WPLG which stirred up controversy.

Sian Welby

Sian Welby is a British reporter who can be seen giving daily weather reports. She’s a huge name in England in the radio and TV industry. She is known for giving silly puns that could make anyone smile.

She’s worked for numerous stations over the course of her career for the BBC including Channel 4, Channel 5, and ITV. She even started her own radio show on Heart in 2016.

Susana Almeida

Here’s Susana Almeida, she was raised in Mexico and is a TV news presenter in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. One of her forecasts went viral when she had a wardrobe malfunction on live TV.

Mayte Carranco

Mayte Carranco is from Mexico and has recently gotten a lot of fame and we can see why. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico’s Nuevo Leon, and dreamt of a musical career.

She wanted to be a singer when she was young and in 2007 she went to News Televisa Monterrey and made a good impression there. She’s been given the Miss Televisa Monterrey title award.

Indra Petersons

When she began to work as a weather anchor for the CNN shows New Day and CNN Newsroom, the Latvian beauty Indra Petersons earned a name for herself. She is a natural overachiever, and this can be seen in the fact that she attended Arizona University.

In mathematics, business, and physics, she took up atmospheric physics and minored. She graduated in 2002 and went on to serve as a meteorologist at KVIA, KEYT, based in Santa Barbara, and KABC, based in Los Angeles, based in El Paso. Of course, before she was hired by CNN, this was all.

Kait Parker

Kait Parker is a well-established meteorologist best known for her work on The Weather Channel app and Good Morning America. She is known for expressing her concerns about pollution in the environment and climate change.

She created the Toxic Lake: The Untold Story of Lake Okeechobee mini-documentary in 2016 and exposed the problems of water management and cyanobacteria in Florida. Before The Weather Channel hired her, Parker worked in Alabama, Florida, and Missouri. In 2016, she said farewell to The Weather Channel to concentrate on her environmental activism.

Marilu Kaufman

Since she is extremely lovely and graceful, it is not surprising to hear she also acts and models. Maybe you’ve even seen her in ads, TV commercials, and music videos. There are almost 50,000 followers on her Instagram account, and we bet this has something to do with her lovely brown locks and adorable smile.

Born in Nicaragua, she grew up in South Florida. As someone who has lived in a place that gets hit on a regular basis by hurricanes, Timmer wanted to become a meteorologist. She worked for AccuWeather out of State College, Pennsylvania before she worked at Fox and reported the weather in both English and Spanish.

Lluvia Carrillo

Lluvia Carrillo is a Mexican journalist whose career started when she hosted the Televisa Deportes Spanish sports program. Since then, she has been working as Yanet Garcia’s replacement for Monterrey al Dia on Televisa Monterrey.

She is also a talented model, apart from her broadcasting career, who won second place in the Nuestra Belleza Nuevo Leon 2014. She was even in a magazine called TVyNovelas! It is interesting to hear that she is involved with Mexican national team soccer player Javier Aquino in a romantic way.

Cristina Blackwell

This bilingual blonde bombshell was born in San Antonia to an Alabaman father and to a Mexican mother. As the family moved around a lot, she did not have an easy time growing up, leading her to be bullied.

In 2009, at the University of Texas at San Antonio, she earned her double major in communications and speech. For Univision Network and the Kens-TV 5 program called Eyewitness News, she has been broadcasting in English and Spanish over the years. The latter is still her place of employment at present.

Llarisa Abreu

Another forecaster who can give you a daily report in English and Spanish is Llarisa Abreu. Currently, she is AccuWeather’s on-air broadcaster. She has been employed by Latino Vision TV, NBC News, and Univision over the years. It is fascinating to learn that both behind and in front of the camera she has done work.

Like the other meteorologists on the list, when she realized how important it was to send out warnings for natural disasters, Abreu found her passion for the weather.

Carolina Ramirez

On Instagram, Caroline Ramirez boasts over 50,000 followers and it is easy to see why. This Colombian beauty appeared on the Nuestra Belleza Latina beauty pageant reality television show before she moved on to Despierta America. This happened in 2010, and she won both judges’ and fans’ hearts.

It didn’t take long before she acquired a fan following with her stylish dresses and great personality when she was hired by Univision. She has also worked on other Univision productions like the Latin GRAMMY Street Parties and Premios Juventud VIP tours.

Raegan Medgie

Raegan Medgie first ventured into the world of broadcasting while attending her alma mater, Temple University. She was a reporter for the student-run TV station called Temple Update as a student.

Later on, before moving on to WETM, an NBC affiliate, in Elmira, New York, she began working at a local cable station outside Allentown, Pennsylvania. Medgie also worked at WNEP, a Scranton, Pennsylvania-based ABC affiliate. Eventually, she ended up in New York City, where she was employed in 2017 by The Weather Channel, then WCBS, and eventually FOX5.

Jennifer Delgado

She provided updates and news about various natural disasters during her time there, such as deadly typhoons in the Pacific, Hurricane Sandy, and the 2013 tornado season. She is employed by The Weather Channel right now. In 2016, she was given much-unwanted attention by her insensitive and false statements about Haitian children eating deforested trees.

Shay Ryan

The native of Florida was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and later received her degree from the University of Florida in Telecommunication. To obtain her Master’s degree in Geoscience, Shay Ryan later attended Mississippi State University.

Her successful career has brought her to various parts of the nation. It was assigned to cover hot waves, hurricanes , floods, and storms in Georgia, New York, Michigan, and Mississippi. She is currently working for WFTS-TV out of Tampa and St. Petersburg as a meteorologist.

Yanet Garcia

Vera Jimenez

Vera Jimenez, born in Mexico City, migrated to California with her family when she was only three years old. She attended California State University for her undergraduate studies and then Mississippi State University for meteorology studies.

She’s in her 50s now and Jimenez has an amazing resume to show for it. Previously employed by KFWB-AM, KIK-FM, and KNX-AM, she is currently working on the Los Angeles-based KTLA, News at 6 and News at 10 programs. Over the years, she has documented both the weather and the traffic. She has been awarded three Golden Mikes, three Golden Pylons, and two Emmy Awards.

Lissette Gonzalez

Former Miss Florida and Miss Miami Lissette Gonzales attended Mississippi State University to study meteorology. In addition to this, she was also the runner-up in the competition for Miss America and previously worked as an off-Broadway actor, TV host, and recording artist.

In 2007, she started her reporting career at the Miami-based CBS4 News. She has been working for the Prime News KTLA program in Los Angeles since then. She is currently active in the community of South Florida, where she visits schools regularly to speak about education and its significance.

Erin Nicole

She worked in Chicago, Cleveland, Miami and Columbus. She’s the current lead news anchor for HLN these days, formerly referred to as CNN Headline News. On September 11th , 2001, she made her on-air HLN debut.

Janice Villagran

Dylan Dreyer

After working different jobs at WJAR in Rhode Island, WICU in Pennsylvania, and WHDH in Massachusetts, Dreyer had to work her way up and she only made it great as a meteorologist.

Elita Loresca, a Filipino-American newscaster, currently works out of Houston , Texas for KTRK-TV. When she worked as a news associate at the Los Angeles-based KCBS, she began her broadcasting career.

Loresca was the assignment editor and noon weather anchor for KGET-TV out of Bakersfield, California for a year. She moved to KGPE-TV in Fresno after this job, where she served as the morning and noon weather girl. When she covered major hurricanes such as Hurricane Frances, Rita, Katrina, and Wilma, she also created waves.
