Lieutenant Colonel Jenns Robertson developed a centralized database of every available record of US military bombings from World War I onward. After processing thousands of pages of written records and sprawling datasets, Robertson’s work has resulted in the THOR database, or the Theater History of Operations Reports, which overlays bomb locations and related data over satellite images.

Using the data from THOR, reddit user amazonada created an animation of every bomb that was dropped by the allies in World War 2.

The result is stunning.
