I don’t like sharing my food. Correction: I don’t like sharing my food if that means both parties are going to eat from the same plate at the same time.
I have no problem sharing ahead of time, but when it comes to sharing at the same time, I usually end up getting the short end of the stick.
Nachos are a delicious pub food, and I often order them. But have you ever noticed that the person you’re sharing the nachos with will grab the center nachos and avoid eating the ones around the edges? The ones that have no sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and other tasty toppings? I show respect to the other eater, and choose my chips 50/50. Half of them are from the edge, half are from the middle.
If that isn’t bad enough, the other person will then eat more than their half of the plate. So not only are they getting the better tasting nachos, they are getting more nachos altogether. It’s unfair, and I won’t stand for it.
From now on, I’m not sharing my nachos – order your own damn plate!

Amen to all that!
I am an only child and stereotypically disinclined to share.
However, I WILL get you one of your own of whatever it is!
